Pine Grove Play Area, Footpaths and bike trails
This park is a community initiative created by the Plantation Community Association and funded by Community Spaces Scotland Big Lottery Fund. The land was made available by the Glen Nevis Trust for community use and enjoyment of the area which includes upgraded children’s play areas, an adult fitness trail, footpaths and bike trails.
Alan Jones was appointed Project manager and had to secure a long term lease from the Glen Nevis Trust followed by submitting and securing Planning Permission. He then successfully secured £237,000 funding and project managed the park to completion.
